This is just a quick update regarding the flaking problem I was having when using the Kinky Curly Knot Today and Curling Custard.
I never could successfully use the products without the flake issue, but I did find a workaround. (The Knot Today is just so good, it was either get rid of the flakes, or just look crusty. Not using it was not an option, lol.) After I detangle my hair, I twist it in to several big twists. (I just part it with my fingers, and I make the twists as large as I can with them not unraveling.) After I completely detangled and twisted my whole head of hair, I rinse out the product completely. That's the step that's not in the instructions. This process works great for me. My hair stays detangled, and the extra rinse serves to get my hair freshly wet and prepared for the Curling Custard. Best of all? No flakes!
