So I just bought a condo, and let me say, except for a few minor issues, I love it. However, I have lived in single family housing for about 7 years, so it's a bit of an adjustment living attached to neighbors again. I'm pretty tolerant, though, so I think it'll be okay.
I have a downstairs unit, and I'm finding that I'm going to become intimately knowledgeable about my upstairs neighbor. I now know his morning shower/music routine. I know that he likes to occasionally take phone calls on his balcony. And the other night, I learned more than I bargained for. Things that made me make amused, surprised, and slightly embarassed to actually meet him. Judging from the quick exit of his guest after the deed(s) were done, I'm assuming that this is not a regular girlfriend, and I'm hoping for my sake, that he doesn't "get lucky" too often. For how do you (1) let someone know that you can hear them, and (2) ask them to adjust their squeaky bed? I know we're all grown, but still....
One of my co-workers called my new spot, Melrose Place. She might be more correct than she thinks.
