(I wish I'd started blogging this show fom the beginning, but alas, here we are, 3 or 4 episodes in. So hopefully, if you're reading this, you also watch BH and are right there with me. Today I'm watching last week's episode that I recorded.)
These staged "reality" shows are... interesting. I guess they are given a scene and told to improvise real life. I think I read that somewhere. The adults are always terrible at it. (Except for that one boy's momma who went off on him for having that pool party or "kickback" without her permission. haha)
Anyways, so Seiko, Stacy and Aysia are hanging out, discussing Justin, which is odd to me, since I think that Seiko likes Justin, not to mention that I like them better together. They are telling Asia what a good guy he is, when suddenly Aysia finds an old wig of Seiko's which leads to the planning of, you guessed it, yet another kickback, excuse me, "function," as Stacy renames it.
Cut to Gerren and her mom discussing Gerren's decision not to be in the fashion show because she's not ready with her t-shirt line.
Next we see Trason, who's like the new what's his name from last season who played football and had a high-pitched voice and spoke in cliches and one-liners. He's hitting on the intern, Blair, at his new job first time he meets her. The boss peeps his game plan and shuts that isht DOWN.
Okay, Gerren needs to "sat down somewheres". She's telling her mom about the run in she had with Tyler. Is that the little trifling chick who went after Moriah even though she was s'posed to be Gerren's friend? Okay, so I understand Gerren's frustration, anger even. But uh, uh-ruh, don't she know that she is a model, um, and her looks are her paycheck? Why is she tryin to get the beat down?? Tomboutsome, "I didn't touch a particle on her face; I just knocked her little straw hat off." At least her momma is trying to teach her something. Talking about Gerren being a role-model, as well as the fact that folks will KILL you these days. Gerren so young and dumb, talkin 'bout, "Well, when it's my time to go it's my time." rolling my eyes. Why is she tryna come off all hard? That was a good chat her mom had with her, though.
Justin is so cute. I don't usually go for the brothers with the light eyes, but Justin... swoon. He's such a pretty boy who is so not a pretty boy. Apparently, he's "feeling" Aysia. making air quotes and rolling my eyes. Who is this guy JoJo, who's all of a sudden declared himself as Justin's bff, and yet, I've never seen him? They're out shopping for costumes for Seiko's party. Cool, I do love these manufactured parties. There's always some drama.
Oh, Moriah. Sweet Moriah. "I'm abstinent, dawg." Loves it. I mean, to each his own. I just love the fact that he is self-confident enough to be that guy who declares that to his friends. For a teen, that's phenomenal. Kenny is like the little devil standing over your shoulder, right?! Why 'on't he leave folks alone? O childish self. He prolly the main one ain't getting none, tryna talk Moriah into it.
"Please, don't come in here acting stupid." Justin, our dear resident moral compass, just told Tyler how it T.I.Is. And see, Kenny, once again playin the devil -- not devil's advocate, just straight up the devil -- talking bout, "Don't listen.... Just keep it real."
Okay, how adorable are Moriah and Gerren as Michael Jackson (Thriller) and Whitney Houston (I Wanna Dance with Somebody)? Answer: Very! Okay, like for real, Janet (Seiko), Mr. T (JoJo), etc. These costumes are off the chain. And why did Seiko ever go out with Kenny? A question she probably asks herself.
I got excited for one second. I thought Stacy was introducing Seiko to her new man. I thought Stacy had broke up with ol' boy. But no. She was just playing matchmaker, darnit.
And um, Steph Jones? just a whole lot of questions, beginning with Why?
